The Government of Maharashtra Gazette Extraordinary Volume VIII, dated March 18, 2024/Falguan 28, Shak 1945, the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Amendment Act 2024 has been revised to increase the contribution rate to Rs 25/- per employee and thrice that rate for an employer. Please refer notification for more details.

 

Please take a printout of the enclosed notification revision circular and prominently display it at the entrance of the office/factory premises so that all employees can easily read it.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India has issued a notification Ref No INV-11/2/2021-INV/2766 on 24th July 2023. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has fixed the interest rate at 8.15% for the year 2022-23.

The Haryana Labour Department has issued a notification Ref No HLWB/REV/2023/2733-2982 on 27th June 2023 effecting from 1st January 2023 wherein each employee shall contribute to the Labour Welfare fund an amount equal to 0.2% of his/her salary or wages or any remuneration subject to limit of Rs 31/- (Rupees Thirty-one only) per month which was earlier Rs 25/- (Rupees Twenty-Five). The Employer shall contribute to the fund double the amount contributed by such employee.
